In The One, the sixth book in the Alien Species Intervention #6609 series, almost a hundred years have passed since Armageddon. The Earth is ready for habitation but it is a far different Earth from the one last seen so long ago. Alongside the original wildlife and generations of their offspring, new plants and forms of wildlife from different worlds populate the planet as chosen by the Womb.

The survivors discover they have not aged a day since the bombs dropped, but any new relationship that is forged stagnates when the chance to bear children is denied them. Every human now realizes their sole purpose is to support the animals and must fight to eke out a role in the new ecosystem that has put them at the bottom of the food chain.

As a new civilization develops above ground, the new natural order thrusts women into positions of power. Will the softer of the species spell success for what is left of the human race? Or are the mistakes of the past doomed to be repeated?

Alien Species Intervention #6609 is an alien apocalyptic saga spanning 200 years from the Prohibition to the distant future. It encompasses tender love between divergent species, political downfalls and acts of unspeakable violence. When you think you’ve figured it out . . . WHAM! You won’t see it coming. Thriller, horror, science fiction and fantasy all in one, the series is a gripping psychological exploration of how the inherent greed and evil of man is dooming planet Earth and its inhabitants.

Warning Alien Species Intervention #6609 contains violence that a sensitive reader may find confronting.

The One An Alien Apocalyptic Saga Species Intervention #6609 Series Book 6 eBook JK Accinni

This is the last of the series although I heard there might be another out in aug 2014. Good thing. I am already having withdraws. Our survivors have surfaced and now live in a post apocalyptic world. Try starting over from scratch with just a few tools. A good thing they have the Kreyven who is no longer such a terrifying monster now that everyone understands what it is.

I love the introduction of the new creatures and the evil that is perculating with the tribe at the mines. I can see it's a vicious circle with our species. The thirst for power and violence will always be there.

Loved the blind side on who The One is. I didn't see it coming. The scene with the flamer (no spoiler) was full of realism. I could feel my underarms sweating along with Chloe and the tiger, Caeser.

This has been a great series that kept me on my toes. I looked back on book one and saw how far the story has come and I am mesmerized. Wonderful, imaginative series, masterfully executed.

The One An Alien Apocalyptic Saga Species Intervention #6609 Series Book 6 eBook JK Accinni Reviews

I am so sorry to see the conclusion of one of my most interesting discoveries. This series has sucked me in, churned me up and left me reeling. It will forever be close to my heart. I know I will see Baby and Echo, Wil and Netty, Scotty and Chloe and Kenya and Kane in my dreams but I feel lost. The author made me live in their world, cry with them, scream with them, rejoice with them...and love with them. I respect the authors commitment to her cautionary warning. We must learn how to respect one another, wildlife and the planet. Such a difficult thing to do in these sad and desperate times.

As a side note...can anyone help me?? I heard a rumor there will be one last book. I thought this was it but I NEED to know!
I loved this series. I just finished #6, any chance there might be more?
It was very well written, characters were full of life, story line was wonderful, surprises around every corner. It would make an awesome movie series. My thanks to J. K. Accinni, your a top notch writer!
I have read all 7 books in this saga. I gave it a 4 star because a couple of the books could have been combined so that it wasn't 7 books total. It could have been a 5 or even a 4 book saga. Other then that, I really enjoyed the story line and the author's style of writing. These books are not bogged down with unnecessary details used as fillers. Actually, I become somewhat emotionally invested in the characters and their stories. It did bring home the fact that we, humans are killing this planet. If you are looking for a short, easy reads with some interesting twists then these books are for you with just a enough syfy to keep it interesting. I did find just a couple of grammatical errors however, they will not distract you while you are reading.
This is a wonderful imaginative writing, and an interesting narrative, but with some caveats;
Most of the male characters are psychotic rapist sadists, like if it were something "normal" for everyone in this planet having a dick to be a cruel misogynist. There are some totally unnecessary cruel sadistics scenes. Also, most human women in the series are defendless victims, bordering the imbecility with their inaction, even the mildly "evil" ones.
The whole series is like a vegan-feminist space-soap-opera, where only a fistful of humans worth saving out of 7000 billions. Plus, there are many religion-like parallels, with the Womb as "God", with the Hive as the Ark, and a private "Hell" with those that misbehaved, and a Heaven in another planet, the aliens physically like a mix of angels and devils, etc. Finally the only one printed book saved out of ALL the planet; the "Holy bible".
Not to mention the only gay relationship in the series is one of the psychotic male characters, impulsed out of woman rejection.
I finally spent much more money in these 6 books than in many others that I read that were either free or just $0.99 that were so much better histories. Way too expensive for such a disappointing agenda.
With every ending there's a beginning. That's nothing new for the survivors of the day of the bombs. I was so impressed with this wonderful series. Each and every one of the books in the series is very hard to put down and The One is no different. I found myself drawn into the new world that the survivors entered after leaving the womb. Things were revealed that I had suspected but had no proof of, JK Accinni keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat right until the end. You could never get too comfortable because amazing plot twists kept you guessing. Throughout the whole species series the characters were so well developed and defined. A motley assortment of survivors who come together to work together to save the animals of the earth. So many secrets were finally revealed in the book and it was so cool to see where each of the survivors' stories led them and where they ended. If I had to say anything bad about this book is that JK Accinni killed some characters and that made me sad ( There was a flawless transition from storyline to storyline until the lines intersected and wove together beautifully. The final moments were amazing and so poignant. She ended the story perfectly, I'm hoping for more from these survivors. Maybe one day. JK Accini is such a beloved author to me. I can't wait to see what she does next.
This is the last of the series although I heard there might be another out in aug 2014. Good thing. I am already having withdraws.
